Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge attempted to squash all rumors surrounding Rajon Rondo Thursday, saying they have no intention in trading the All-Star guard.

Ainge, the 2008 NBA Executive of the Year, said they have no plans of dealing Rondo in a trade as contrary to previous reports.

Rondo emerged at the center of trade rumors following recent reports that the Celtics are interested to deal him for fellow All-Star point guard Chris Paul.

The Indiana Pacers apparently showed interest in acquiring Rondo via trade, but Ainge said he balked at the offer.

Ainge added he believes the core of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Rondo can still pull off a title run this upcoming season.

"We love our players and I think our players know that. They know that we really like them. There may be sensitive feelings here and there, but I think those will be addressed. I'm not worried about that at all," Ainge told ESPN Thursday.

Rondo, two-time NBA All-Star and Al-Defensive team member, averaged 10.6 points and 11.2 assists in 2010-2011 season, although he continued to struggle beyond the arc with .233 3-pt shooting.
