2012 NBA Playoffs

Oklahoma City, OK

Kevin Durant tallied 34 points and 14 boards as the Oklahoma City Thunder erased an 18-point first half deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs, 107-99 in Game 6 of the 2012 NBA Western Conference finals at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Durant again fueled Oklahoma's scoring machinery and delivered the clutch shots to foil down the Spurs' last stand at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Spurs, who once controlled the series after taking Game 1 and 2, seemed poised to force a winner-takes-all game in their epic Western Conference duel after racing to a double-digit lead in the second half.

Tony Parker chalked up 21 points and 10 assist to ignite the Spurs' fast start. Stephen Jackson also knocked down four treys as San Antonio ended the first half with a 15-point cushion, 63-48.

Unsurprisingly, the Thunder came up with another big third quarter as the high-scoring triumvirate of Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden started to find their shooting touch in the second half.

Bigmen Kendrick Perkis and Serge Ibaka were also solid on the defensive end, holding the Spurs to just .319 percent shooting in the third period.

Powered by 32 third quarter points, the Thunder opened the final quarter with an 81-80 lead and kept applying pressure on the Spurs.

Fisher, who signed a minimum deal with the Thunder after being traded by the Los Angeles Lakers this season, once again showed his veteran poise in tight postseason game after hitting two clutch jumpers, one of which is a huge trey that gave Oklahoma a 96-91 lead with 4:35 minutes left on the clock.

The Spurs were scrambling for buckets late in the most crucial minutes as they slowly found out the harsh reality of another playoff disappointment.

Parker finished with 29 points and 12 assists, Jackson added 23 points, and Tim Duncan racked up 25 points and 14 boards in what would be his final shot at winning another NBA title.

Meanwhile, Westbrook had a great game offensively with 25 points and Harden added 16 points off the bench.

The Thunder advanced in the NBA finals for the fourth time in franchise history and first since the Sonics were moved and renamed in Oklahoma.

Kevin Durant had 34 points and 14 rebounds while playing all of regulation for the first time all season, and the Oklahoma City Thunder claimed a spot in the NBA finals by beating the San Antonio Spurs 107-99
