The Orlando Magic are reportedly negotiating for a sing-and-trade deal that would send Most Improved Player of the Year Ryan Anderson to the New Orleans Hornets in exchange for power forward prospect Gustavo Ayon.

Anderson agreed to a four-year, $36 million offer sheet with the Hornets and the Magic are not inclined to match the offer for the sharp shooting big man.

Trying to receive something in return, the Magic are discussing a sing-and-trade deal that would give them a valuable young talent in Ayon.

Ayon averaged 5.9 points and 4.9 rebounds over 54 games last season but the Mexican banger showed flashes of brilliance last season.

Anderson was named the Most Improved Player of the Year after averaging 16.1 points and 7.7 boards last season.

He led the NBA both three-pointers attempts and made while benefiting from the inside presence of Dwight Howard under the one-in, four-out offensive tactics used by the Magic.
