Outfielder Grady Sizemore is recovering from another knee surgery. Now the question is when he heals up, where will he end up playing.

The Cleveland Indians have a $9 million contract option on Sizemore for the 2012 season. They will have to decide if a player who was on the disabled list three times this season and played in just 71 games is worth the money.

Teams have until three days after the final game of the World Series to exercise club options for 2012 and Cleveland general manager Chris Antonetti has stated he won't make the decision on Sizemore until at or near the deadline.

Sizemore is a three-time All-Star center fielder who has had four surgeries, including two knee operations in the last two years. His most recent was procedure was arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Oct. 3.

Dr. Richard Steadman, the physician who did microfracture surgery on Sizemore's left knee 15 months ago, also performed the latest procedure in Vail. Colorado.

The latest surgery is much less invasive than the microfracture operation, and the Indians said Sizemore should be recovered in two months and ready for spring training.

Sizemore hit .224 (60-for-268) with 21 doubles, 10 homers, 32 RBI and 34 runs this year and now the Indians have to determine if Sizemore can get healthy and if he can will be return to the elite player he used to be.

Someone will take a chance on Sizemore, it's pretty much guaranteed. Whether or not it will be the Indians is another story.
