Nolan Ryan has called his shot, now its up to the Texas Rangers to make good on it.

The Rangers' CEO, Ryan has predicted that the Rangers will win the World Series over the St. Louis Cardinals in six games.

Ryan made the prediction on ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM's "Galloway & Company" on Monday afternoon.

"I think we'll get it done in six," Ryan said.

A year after losing to the San Francisco Giants in the World Series, the Rangers are back for another shot at a world title.

"I couldn't be any happier," Ryan said. "I'm really thrilled that the guys played the way they did this year. To get back to the World Series back to back is a big challenge. So I'm thrilled with what they've done."

Ryan has given the team its due for a fantastic season but also pointed out that if the year ends with anything less than a World Series victory, it would be a bit of a disappointment.

"I always say that if your last game ends in a loss, there's a certain amount of disappointment," Ryan said. "That means you didn't get it done. I can tell you this, from our team, our players, our coaching staff, Ron (Washington), and the front office staff that if that were to happen we would be disappointed that we weren't world champions. After what we experienced last year, they came back very determined to be world champions.

"If it doesn't happen, we're going to be disappointed we didn't get it done. Is that to say we didn't have a great year? No. We had a lot of great things happen. But it would be an incomplete year for us."
