The USC Trojans struggled anew to post a complete game, but went on to claim another win with Matt Barkley tossing two TD passes in a 30-9 conquest of the California Golden Bears in Pac-12 play at AT&T Park.

Barkley, coming off a record-setting game against Arizona two weeks ago, completed only 19 of 35 passes for 195 yards as the Trojans (5-1, 3-1 Pac-12) struggled offensively, but captured the game because of aggressive defense.

With a contest they were predicted to have won handily, the Trojans were held to a season-low 195 yards but relied on their defense that forced five turnovers.

USC kept Cal (3-3, 0-3) off the scoreboard until late in the third quarter and limited the Bears to 329 total yards and only 35 rushing.

The Trojans matched their season total of forcing five turnovers, with three interceptions and two fumble recoveries Thursday.

Lee, who hooked up with Barkley for a score, suffered a right shoulder injury in the first half, while leading rusher Tyler had a dislocated shoulder.

Trojans CB Anthony Brown also left the game with a broken ankle and never returned.

Zach Maynard completed 25-of 43 passes for 294 yards and three INTs and ran for the lone TD for Cal, which has now lost its last three games.
