Southern Miss Football Coach Larry Fedora to Take Over at UNC

Southern Miss football coach Larry Fedora will take over the same post at UNC, according to a report by a major sports media outlet.

ESPN is reporting Fedora will take over a program beset by NCAA investigations over academic issues under previous coach Butch Davis.

Fedora led Southern Miss over previously undefeated Houston in the Conference USA championship game.

The Golden Eagles finished 11-2 and take on Nevada in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl on Dec. 24.

North Carolina (7-5) will battle Mizzou in the AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl on December 26.
