The top-ranked Oklahoma Sooners rallied past the Missouri Tigers 38-28 to lead victorious teams in the nations in Week 4.
The Sooners (3-0, 1-0 Big 12) overcame a slow start before taking control with 28 straight points against the Tigers, in the Big 12 opener for both programs.
The No. 2 LSU Tigers (4-0, 1-0 SEC) demolished No. 16 West Virginia 47-21 to make a case to take the No. 1 spot in the nation.
No. 3 Alabama and fourth-ranked Boise State also posted solid performances in Week 4.
The Crimson Tide sent a message that they are ready to contend for the title by showcasing their top defense that stifled No. 14 Arkansas’ normally high-powered passing game en route to a 38-14 conquest.
Boise State held off a late surge by the Tulsa Golden Hurricane to claim a 41-21 win for its 33rd straight regular season home victory.
No. 6 Wisconsin was also in the win-column Saturday after dismantling South Dakota, while No. 7 Oklahoma State edged eighth-ranked Texas A&M 30-29, the Aggies first loss this season.
Ninth-ranked Nebraska and No. 10 Oregon rounded out the top-10 victors Saturday.
The Cornhuskers trounced Wyoming with Rex Burkhead leading the way with 170 yards and two TD, while the Ducks ripped the Arizona Wildcats, 56-31.
