Brandon Weeden threw 47-for-60 for 438 yards with two TD passes and the No.7 Oklahoma State Cowboys rallied past the No.8 Texas A&M Aggies, 30-29 Saturday at Kyle Field.

In the match between two potential BCS contenders, Weeden pulled off a sensational game as he ripped through the Aggies’ defense with sharp passes and clutch play.

With the Cowboys trailing by 10 points (20-10 in the third, Weeden hooked up with Justin Blackmon for an 11-yard TD catch and another with Tracy Moore for a 4-yard score.

Kicker Quinn Sharp, who has been efficient this season, also converted all of his four kicks, including two huge field goal conversions in the fourth sealing the victory for Oklahoma State.

After strong performances in the first two games, Aggies quarterback Ryan Tannehill went 28-for-47 for 309 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions.

Tannehill and kicker Randy Bullock ignited the Aggies to an early 20-3 lead, but Texas A&M failed to sustain its strong offensive game as the Cowboys began to show their true form.

Running back Jeremy Smith fired up the Cowboys offense in the third with a 13-yard TD run that eventually changed the complexion of the match.

The Aggies made a desperate run in the final the final minutes, but fell short of pulling off a comeback.

The Cowboys improved their record to 4-0 and nabbed their first win of the Big 12 season.

The Aggies suffered their first loss in three assignments and are expected to fall in the coaches’ poll due to the defeat.
