Boise State rekindled its rivalry with Fresno State, with Kellen Moore throwing three TD passes in the No. 5 Broncos' 57-7 thrashing of former conference rival Bulldogs Friday night at Bulldog Stadium.

Moore went 23-for-31 for 254 yards and threw two of his TD passes to Geraldo Boldewijn, whose return helped add another dimension to the already potent Broncos offense.

In his first game back after serving a four-game suspension for taking impermissible benefits, sophomore Boldewijn ended with just 33 yards on three catches, but two TD.

D.J. Harper ran two scores in for the Broncos (5-0), who took control early in the game, and nearly scored as many TDs (eight) as the Bulldogs had nine first downs.

The Broncos' defense also stepped up, limiting Fresno State to 270 total yards.

It was so stingy that it did not allow the Bulldogs to cross their own 35-year line until three minutes were left in the half. The Broncos led at halftime 37-0.

It also denied the Bulldogs a first down until the remaining seconds in the first quarter.

Boise State's intensified "D" also forced four turnovers, two fumbles and two interceptions.

Derek Carr completed 17-for-30 for 126 yards and an interception for the Bulldogs, who dropped to 2-4.

Boise State, which spent the past decade in the WAC together with Fresno State, made the jump to the Mountain West Conference beginning this season.

The Broncos now lead the series with the Bulldogs, 10-4. BSU has won the past six matchups, including last season's 51-0 destruction of the Bulldogs.
