Samsung and Visa Team Up for Limited Edition Galaxy S III

Samsung and Visa have teamed up for a limited edition Galaxy S III for Olympic athletes and trialists competing in the closely approaching Summer Games.
The special edition smartphones will be equipped with Visa's payWave technology, which will allows users to pay for things by simply waving their Galaxy S III at the register during checkout at select London retailers.
Samsung said in a statement, "Mobile payment services enabled by NFC technology are gaining momentum around the world. The Samsung Galaxy S III has been created with our human needs and capabilities in mind, and is the new ideal device to showcase the ease and convenience of Visa's mobile payment application at the London 2012 Olympic Games."
Visa is working with Lloyds TSB in the United Kingdom to enable the NFC payments.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S III during a London press event in early May. The 4.8 inch, Android 4.0 based smartphone will debut in Europe on May 29. A 4G LTE version will hit U.S. markets in early summer.
