R&B star Beyonce's much awaited halftime performance in this year's Super Bowl has come to life, and added to that an extra happy surprise -- a reunion with former girl trio, the Destiny's Child.

Beyonce, after weeks of grueling rehearsals with her band and backup dancers for the big show, has graced the stage of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome during the halftime performance of the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Beyonce emerged on stage alone and performed 'Love on Top' and 'Crazy in Love.' She was then joined by her similarly energetic backup dancers to perform 'End of Time' followed by 'Baby Boy.'

Moments after, the surprise was on everyone: Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child joined Beyonce on the stage and performed three songs: 'Bootylicious,' 'Independent Women' and the choreographically enchanting 'Single Ladies.'

Towards the end of her set, Beyonce downed the physical energy a little with her heartfelt solo rendition of 'Halo.'

Meanwhile, reunited Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams tweeted after the show, "Had a great time w/my sisters tonight!! Tried to keep it a surprise!! Love you all...God bless!!"

All of the tracks performed during the halftime show were sung live.

The Super Bowl XLVII halftime show occurred on February 3, 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans as part of Super Bowl XLVII and featured American entertainer Beyoncé with special guests Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child. The show was produced by Ricky Kirshner and directed by Hamish Hamilton. It received acclaim from music critics who commented that Knowles once more proved her abilities during live performances. It became the then second most watched show in Super Bowl history by garnering 110.8 million viewers. The performance, and the stadium blackout that followed, generated more than 299,000 tweets per minute, making it the then second most tweeted moment in the history of Twitter. This would be the first Pepsi sponsored halftime show since Prince's performance in Super Bowl XLI.
