Green Bay wide receiver Donald Driver is hanging up his jersey, capping a 14-year career that made him the Packers all-time leading receiver in receptions and yards.

In a statement, Driver said he will formally announce his retirement in a public event at Lambeau Field.

"I played my entire career in Green Bay and have always enjoyed a special bond with the fans," Driver said. "I can think of no better way to retire than to celebrate with them and the Packers organization."

The 37-year-old Driver ends his career with 743 receptions and 10,137 receiving yards. He has scored 61 touchdowns.

However, Driver caught only two passes in the final two months of the season. Frustrated by his lack of playing time, Driver volunteered to play special teams.

When the Packers were eliminated from the postseason, Driver hinted at retirement as he cleaned out his locker.

"I think we all think about it, you get up a certain amount of years, you think about, 'Where do we go from here?'" Driver told USA TODAY Sports.

"I've always said I love Green Bay, I've been here my whole career and I don't want to play for another team. It's a decision that I'll have to make, and when the time comes, I'll make that decision," he added.
