NFL Rookies of the Month - October

Running back Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers and safety Tyrann Mathieu of the Arizona Cardinals are the NFL Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Month for October

Lacy, a second-round selection (No. 61 overall) out of Alabama, leads the NFL in rushing in October with 395 yards with a league-high 97 carries. He scored two touchdowns and had 11 receptions for 47 yards.

Mathieu, a third-round selection (No. 69) out of Louisiana State, had 20 tackles, three passes defensed, a sack and an interception in October.

He is one of seven players in the NFL -- and the only rookie -- to register at least 20 tackles, a sack and an interception during the month. Mathieu is one of only three safeties in the NFL to accomplish the feat.

This season, Mathieu has 49 tackles, five passes defensed, two interceptions, a sack and a forced fumble. He is the only rookie -- and one of four players in the NFL -- with at least 40 tackles, five passes defensed, two interceptions, a sack and a forced fumble.
