NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell doesn't seem concerned at all that the season has started with replacement officials

Goodell spoke highly of the league's replacement officials Wednesday, giving another sign that the NFL is not likely to give in to any of the regular officials' demands.

Meeting with military and Congressional leaders to discuss a joint effort on concussion treatment and prevention, Goodell took questions from the media afterwards.

He was asked about the officials as the regular officials are locked out without a contract. The league heads into its second week with replacements.

"Unfortunately, there haven't been any discussions (with the officials' union) lately," Goodell said.

Replacement officials had their ups and downs in week one but did not make many glaring errors, nothing that cost a team a game and Goodell believes the league can move forward with them.

Replacement officials have been scheduled through the first five weeks of the season.

"We believe we can. They did a very credible job, and they're only going to get better," Goodell said.
