Jets Cornerback Revis Suffers Mild Concussion, Status Uncertain

New York Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis is uncertain to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday after suffering a mild concussion during their 48-28 win over the Buffalo Bills.
"He seems to be feeling good, but whatever those baseline test scores are, apparently that's low," Jets coach Rex Ryan said. "I'll lean on the doctors and trainers. We'll see how he progresses during the week."
After he hit the ground while chasing running back C.J. Spiller, Revis was accidentally kicked in the head by linebacker Bart Scott. He did not return to the game after he was checked for concussion by the medical staff.
Due to the league's media policy for players with head injuries, the Jets did not make Revis available for interviews after the game. He also will be off limits on Monday, the team said.
A source said Revis felt fine after the game and the concussion diagnosis was made only Monday morning.
Ryan said Kyle Wilson, who also had an interception in the opener, likely would start in Revis' spot if he is ruled out.
"What I'll say is, with me I'll always lean on our trainers and our doctors," Ryan said. "With any head injury and any injury at all, but especially a head injury, I'm going to err on the side of caution. We'll see how he progresses."
NFL protocol states that Revis must pass concussion tests before he's cleared to play.
