New York Jets back-up quarterback Tim Tebow has accepted teammate Mark Sanchez's invitation to "Jets West", a private training camp that the starting playmaker regularly organizes for the team's offensive players.

Sanchez has arranged the private workout to underscore his team leadership and develop chemistry and camaraderie with quarterbacks, receivers and running backs. He assumes most of the expenses for his teammates, including renting lavish villas.

Usually held between mandatory minicamp and training camp, the past two 'Jets West' were held at Mission Viejo High School in Southern California.

The Jets' minicamp will be held at Florham Park, New Jersey from June 12-14 and training camp will begin July 26 in Cortland, New York.

The entire five-day "Jets West" will be private and media will not be allowed access at any day, Sanchez told the New York Daily News.

The Jets acquired Tebow primarily to back up Sanchez and run the team's Wildcat offense but media speculations are swirling that he will eventually end up as starter.

Aside from Tebow, other Jets that have committed to attending are third-string quarterback Greg McElroy, receivers Jeremy Kerley, Patrick Turner and Scotty McKnight, running backs Shonn Greene, Joe McKnight and John Conner and tight ends Dustin Keller, Jeff Cumberland and Josh Baker.

Top wide receiver Santonio Holmes still hasn't responded to Sanchez's invite. Last year, Holmes didn't attend "Jets West" because he was an unrestricted free agent but he attended the event in 2010.

"It's just so important to spend time together as much as possible," McElroy told the Daily News. "It's a good opportunity for us to get out of our element and do something social as a group with the benefit of working and great weather. It's really a good time for us. It's a lot of football and a lot of fun."

Receiver Stephen Hill, the Jets' second-round pick in the 2012 draft, and running back Bilal Powell were uncertain because of schedule conflicts while rookie running back Terrance Ganaway wants to spend time with his wife.
