Despite their need for a talented wide receiver, the Cleveland Browns apparently have no plans of working out a trade for disgruntled Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin.

Harvin and Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress has had a stormy relationship when the latter was still head coach of the Vikings.

In November 2010, the two got into a heated exchange and had to be separated to prevent a physical exchange. The confrontation occurred after Childress questioned Harvin's effort during practice.

When Harvin explained that he hurt his knee against the New England Patriots, Childress suggested that he should submit himself to further testing. A heated debate then ensued before the two had to be separated.

Days later, the Vikings fired Childress and replaced by defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

A source said Harvin has requested the Vikings for a trade, a day after he expressed dissatisfaction with the organization that drafted him in 2009.

"There are a lot of different things that have to be sorted out,'' Harvin said on the first day of a mandatory minicamp Tuesday. "Just haven't been really happy lately. We've got a couple of things to work on. I'm here in the classroom. We'll go from there."

Harvin did not go into specifics but he wants to have things settled before the start of training camp in July but did not mention a hold out if those issues were not ironed out.

Despite Harvin's comments, Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said they have no interest in trading the wide receiver.

"We drafted Percy Harvin here, he's a key part of our organization and a key part of our football team. Any issues that are out there or are reported, we always handle those internally and will continue to handle those internally," he told the team's official website www.vikings.com.

Spielman did not reveal the nature of Harvin's displeasure but Frazier has spoken with Harvin to discuss it.

"It's part of the NFL," Spielman said. "There's always going to be some players where you have to deal with specific issues and you have to deal with them internally, get them resolved and move forward."

Last year, Harvin caught 87 passes for 967 yards and six touchdowns. He also had two rushing touchdowns and one from kick return.

He is entering the fourth year of a five-year deal that he signed as a rookie during which he will earn $915,000.
