With two touchdown passes on Sunday against Miami, Rivers would become the ninth player in NFL history with 300 career passing touchdowns.
Rivers (298 career touchdown passes) and New York Giants quarterback ELI MANNING (306), who were both selected in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft, can become the second quarterback duo from the same draft class to each reach 300 touchdown passes. Pro Football Hall of Famers JOHN ELWAY (300 career touchdown passes) and DAN MARINO (420) were both selected in the first round of the 1983 NFL Draft.
