The New York Jets have lost another free agent as tight end Dustin Keller signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins.

Keller confirmed to ESPN.com that he reached a deal with the Dolphins, but terms were not immediately available.

Keller was the fourth free agent signed by the Dolphins this week, joining wide receiver Mike Wallace and linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Philip Wheeler.

By signing Keller and Wallace and retaining wide receiver Brian Hartline, the Dolphins have surrounded second-year signal-caller Ryan Tannehill with more offensive option.

Meanwhile, the Jets have lost another member of their anemic offense with Keller's departure, which came two days after running back Shonn Greene bolted the Jets for the Tennessee Titans.

Greene and Keller were key players on the 2009 and 2010 teams that reached the AFC Championship Game.

However, the Jets finished 28th in scoring offense last season

The Jets replaced Greene, signing former Oakland Raiders backup Mike Goodson on Friday to a three-year, $6.9 million contract.

A first-round pick in 2008, Keller was on the rise but he missed eight games due to hamstring and ankle injuries.

Keller finished with career lows for catches (28), receiving yards (317) and touchdowns (two). His career yardage total is 2,876, fourth in Jets history among tight ends.
