NFL 2013 Week 9: AFC Players of the Week

Browns Quarterback Jason Campbell, Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake and Jets kicker Nick Folk are the AFC Players of the Week for games played the ninth week of the 2013 season

Offense: QB Jason Campbell, Cleveland Browns

Campbell completed 23 of 35 passes (65.7 percent) for 262 yards with three touchdowns versus zero interceptions and a 116.6 passer rating in the Browns' 24-18 win over Baltimore. Campbell led Cleveland to its first win against Baltimore since 2007, snapping an 11-game losing streak.

Became the first Browns quarterback to pass for at least three touchdowns with zero interceptions in a game since BRADY QUINN in 2009 (Week 13).

Campbell orchestrated a scoring drive in each quarter, including two red-zone touchdowns against a Ravens unit that ranked first in red-zone defense entering Week 9.

Campbell is the first Browns quarterback since 1967 to register a 100+ passer rating in his first two starts with the club.

Campbell's three touchdown passes tied for a career-best.

In his ninth season from Auburn, this is Campbell's second career Offensive Player of the Week award. He previously won the award with the Washington Redskins in 2007 (Week 5).

He is the first Browns quarterback to win Offensive Player of the Week since Week 2 of the 2007 season (DEREK ANDERSON).

Defense: DE Cameron Wake, Miami Dolphins

Wake totaled five tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in the Dolphins' 22-20 overtime win against Cincinnati on Thursday Night Football.

In overtime, Wake sacked Cincinnati's ANDY DALTON in the end zone for a safety. It was the third overtime game in NFL history that ended in a safety.

With 4:31 remaining in the first quarter, Wake forced a fumble and recovered it by sacking Dalton.

His three sacks tied for an NFL-best (SHEA MC CLELLIN) and led the AFC in Week 9.

In his fifth season from Penn State, this is Wake's first career Defensive Player of the Week Award.

He is the first Dolphin to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors since RANDY STARKS in 2012 (Week 5).

Special Teams: K Nick Folk, New York Jets

Folk converted all four field-goal attempts in the Jets' 26-20 win over New Orleans.

Folk, who kicked field goals of 39, 21, 47 and 45 yards, has now made all 23 field-goal attempts to start the season. His streak of 23 consecutive field goals made is the longest current streak in the NFL and Folk's streak of 23 field goals made in a row to start a season is the longest in franchise history.

Folk's four field goals were an NFL-best in Week 9.

Registered 14 of the Jets' 26 points for the game.

Through Week 9, Folk leads the NFL in made field goals (23).

In his seventh season from Arizona, this is Folk's fourth career Special Teams Player of the Week Award. He most recently won the award in Week 1 of the 2013 season.

Cincinnati wide receiver A.J. GREEN, who had 11 receptions for 128 yards in the Bengals' 22-20 overtime loss at Miami.

New England tight end ROB GRONKOWSKI, who had nine receptions for 143 yards with one touchdown.

Indianapolis wide receiver T.Y. HILTON, who had seven catches for 121 yards (17.3 average) with three touchdowns in the Colts' 27-24 win at Houston.

New York Jets running back CHRIS IVORY, who totaled 139 rushing yards on 18 carries (7.7 average) with one touchdown.

Houston wide receiver ANDRE JOHNSON, who had nine receptions for 229 yards (25.4 average) with a career-best three touchdowns in the Texans' 27-24 loss to Indianapolis.

Tennessee running back CHRIS JOHNSON, who rushed for 150 yards on 23 attempts (6.5 average) with two touchdowns in the Titans' 28-21 win at St. Louis.

Cleveland wide receiver GREG LITTLE, who recorded 122 receiving yards on seven receptions (17.4 average).

New England running back STEVAN RIDLEY, who rushed for 115 yards on 26 attempts with two touchdowns.
