NFL 2013 Week 14: Playoff Scenarios

It's Week 14 of the NFL season and only four games remain to decide who advances to the playoffs. And who goes is anyone's guess as 29 teams remain in contention for a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII. With four games to go, there are 20 teams either in or within one game of a playoff spot

The Seattle Seahawks have already secured a playoff spot and are now aiming for the top seed in the NFC. In the AFC the Broncos, Chiefs, Patriots and Colts look to lock up their playoff spot, while the Saints and Panthers look to join the Seahawks in the NFC.

Here's a look at how these teams that can potentially lock up a playoff spot in Week 14

AFC

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos clinch a playoff spot with:

1) Broncos win or tie OR

2) Dolphins loss or tie OR

3) Ravens loss or tie

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs clinch a playoff spot with:

1) Chiefs win + Dolphins loss or tie OR

2) Chiefs win + Ravens loss or tie OR

3) Chiefs tie + Dolphins loss OR

4) Chiefs tie + Ravens loss

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots can clinch the AFC East division with:

1) Patriots win + Dolphins loss or tie OR

2) Patriots tie + Dolphins loss

New England clinches a playoff spot with:

3) Patriots win + Ravens loss or tie OR

4) Patriots tie + Ravens loss

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts clinch the AFC South division with:

1) Colts win OR

2) Titans loss OR

3) Colts tie + Titans tie

NFC

In the NFC the Seattle Seahawks have already clinched a playoff spot

Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks clinch the NFC West division and a first-round bye with:

1) Seahawks win or tie

New Orleans Saints

New Orleans clinches a playoff spot with:

1) Saints win + Eagles loss or tie + Cowboys loss or tie + Cardinals loss OR

2) Saints win + Eagles loss or tie + Cowboys loss or tie + 49ers loss + Cardinals tie

Note: If both the Eagles and Cowboys games end in a tie, the Saints do not clinch.

Carolina Panthers

Carolina clinches a playoff spot with:

1) Panthers win + Cardinals loss + 49ers loss + Eagles loss or tie + Cowboys loss or tie

Note: If both the Eagles and Cowboys games end in a tie, the Panthers do not clinch.
