It was a good day for college football.

Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones decided to return for his senior year, as did Wisconsin running back Montee Ball.

They are two of the finest players in the country at their respective positions, with Jones already topping the Sooners charts in passing yards and touchdowns.

"I want to accomplish the goals that I set before I got here, and there is still a lot more to do," Jones said. "I want to make sure I've exhausted every effort in that area. And I want to be a senior. I enjoy being at OU and with my teammates and look forward to graduating with the guys that were in my class when I got here."

Ball tied Barry Sanders touchdown record for a season with 39 and rolled up 1,923 yards on the ground.

"I'm just listening to my heart," Ball said. "I know for a fact I will come into this season better. No one knows what we're capable of this season but I know I made the right decision."
