Oakland Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer didn't show excitement about the possibility of reuniting with his former wideout Terrell Owens, believing the team's receiving unit has the youth and talent to excel.

Palmer, who committed three interceptions with no touchdowns in a 28-0 loss to Kansas City Chiefs, has remained excited about the Raiders young and talented receiving corps despite his unproductive and error-marred debut.

Palmer added he didn't see the Raiders getting more veteran help for their passing offense as Owens looks for another shot at playing professional football this season.

"T.O. and I had a great working relationship. He had one of his most successful years over the past five or six years, a lot of production, and he was a great teammate in Cincinnati. The problem is that for him to get here there's not anybody that we could let go," Palmer stated Wednesday in an interview with 95.7 The GAME (KGMZ-FM).

Owens, who held a workout last Tuesday to show he has finally recovered from ACL surgery, nabbed 72 receptions for 983 yards and nine touchdowns with the Palmer-steered Cincinnati Bengals.

Although no scouts attended the workout, Owens' agent Agent Drew Rosenhaus believed the ESPN/NFL Network-televised exercises created interest among NFL teams and it's only a matter of time before his 37-year-old client gets another contract.

"I think that teams see that Terrell is healthy, that he is ready to play football," Rosenhaus said Wednesday an in ESPN Radio show.

The agent even asserted if no team signs Owens this season, the seven-time Pro Bowler will try to resume his career in 2012.
