Mark Sanchez threw four touchdown passes, including one to to Santonio Holmes with just over a minute to play to lead the New York Jets to a 28-24 victory over the Buffalo Bills Sunday afternoon.

It was the ninth game-winning drive of Sanchez's career, one that he capped with a 16-yard scoring strike to Holmes in the corner of the end zone.

Sanchez threw two TD passes to Dustin Keller and another to Plaxico Burress to help the Jets (6-5) end a two-game losing streak and win a crucial AFC East matchup.

Buffalo (5-6) got three TD passes from Ryan Fitzpatrick and had a 24-21 lead in the fourth quarter but still lost its fourth straight game.

Fitzpatrick in a prolonged slump, still threw scoring passes to David Nelson, Stevie Johnson and Brad Smith. He nearly led the Bills to a comeback in the final minute nearly missing on passes into the end zone to Johnson and Smith in the final seconds.

The final play of the game ended in the end zone as Fitzpatrick's final attempt to pull out the win fell incomplete.
