The Dallas Cowboys expect to have running back Felix Jones ready to return to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins.

Jones has been sidelined with a high ankle sprain since he suffered the injury against New England on Oct. 16.

Jones' role within the Cowboys offense is unclear as DeMarco Murray has taken off since the injury to Jones and rushed for over 100 yards in three of his four starts, including a franchise-record 253 yards in his first start.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he doesn't know how much of a workload Jones is ready to handle.

"I don't know just exactly how on top of his game he'll be, but man am I anxious to have both of those options out there and (DeMarco) Murray, that will be exciting," Jones said.

Jerry Jones has long been a supporter of Felix Jones, but the former Arkansas star has been injured often and the early returns on Murray seem to show he can be a workhorse back.

"One thing that comes to my mind that Murray looks like the more he carries the more effective he gets," Jerry Jones said. "Felix, and this is not negative in any way, Felix has always been a guy that he looks like the best way for him to be his best is to inject him in spots.

"So we may have a guy here in Murray who can carry a lot of carries and we may have a guy in Felix that can step in there and carry it 13 times a ballgame and really have a chance to break it."
