AFC Championship Game

New England Patriots' offense is ready to move on without injured tight end Rob Gronkowski, according to quarterback Tom Brady.

He said that offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels' ability to excel when the team has had to adjust this season gives him confidence.

Gronkowski, who had a team-leading 11 touchdown catches this season, will miss the remainder of the postseason due to a broken left forearm originally suffered Nov. 18 against the Indianapolis Colts.

He missed five games but played in New England's regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins.

Gronkowski aggravated the injury while attempting to make a catch in the first quarter in New England's 41-28 victory over the Texans and underwent surgery Monday,

Patriots coach Bill Belichick credited both Shane Vereen and Michael Hoomanawanui for stepping up Sunday to fill Gronkowski's absence.

He noted that Gronkowski was cleared medically for the Texans game.

New England will now focus their attention on the AFC Championship Game and the Baltimore Ravens, a team they lost to back in Week 3.
