10 Ways You Can Invest in Movies
10 Ways You Can Invest in Movies

by Christina Lavingia

The summer months are often a boon for the entertainment industry, as Hollywood releases its famed -- and increasingly bad -- summer blockbusters. Purchasing matinee tickets is just one way to invest in films, however.

The team at Credio, a personal finance and investing research site powered by Graphiq, wanted to identify mutual funds and ETFs, exchange-traded funds, with an entertainment focus. While they differ in terms of purchase and sale terms, mutual funds and ETFs both allow shareholders to pool their money into a fund that's comprised of various stocks, bonds and securities -- usually in a more defined commodity or industry sector.

To find funds for those interested in the film industry, we looked exclusively at mutual funds and ETFs that hold at least two large media companies -- such as Netflix, Disney and Comcast. The funds have a minimum of 10 percent allocated toward these entertainment industry stocks.

The following list of 10 mutual funds and ETFs represents those with the largest entertainment holdings. We've ranked the list from lowest to highest percentage dedicated to entertainment-focused companies.
