The New Middle Part

Used to be that a middle part was synonymous solely with flower children and bookish nerds, but straight and center is making a comeback these days.

What keeps the look fresh and new is that the part is not actually smack in the center of the head, but ever so slightly off to the left or right, and it isn't completely stick straight.

This new style of part creates a more casual feel, like you were running out of your house or just finished a yoga class and didn't have time to get your part exactly in the middle of your head. As celebs like Heidi Klum, Jessica Biel and Gwyneth Paltrow know, it's the perfect way to showcase loose, flowing styles, which would feel overly formal if parted down the side. After all, modern boho babes are too cool to be bothered with combing their hair.
