Marilyn Monroe-inspired Hairstyles

Brooklyn Decker
Bobs have once again made a comeback thanks to the iconic style of Marilyn Monroe dating back to the 1950s.
Supermodel Brooklyn Decker recently cut 10 inches off of her locks to get the look, and even songstress Rihanna has been donning a trendsetting fiery red bob.
"Shorter hair can be sexy, confident and super-modern, and I think hair that is too long isn't chic or fashionable right now," commented Ted Gibson, who recently chopped Decker's strands.
This modern-day bob is shoulder-grazing and full of volume.
No matter what the decade, this classic look always works -- as long as you find the appropriate cut for your hair's texture and your face shape. A longer bob will elongate a round face, and a shorter one will create a horizontal line to help bring out a narrow face. If your hair is thick, layer your bob to remove some fullness around your face.
