The Orlando Magic have traded outside scoring threat J.J. Redick and two other players to the Milwaukee Bucks for three players, according to sources.

Sources told ESPN.com that the Magic sent Redick, Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith packing to the Bucks for Tobias Harris, Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb.

Known as an outside threat, Redick is averaging a career-high 15.1 points per game this season. He's 11th in the league with 117 made 3-pointers.

The Magic traded Redick to get something in return instead of perhaps losing him to free agency after this season.

Aside from the Bucks, the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers also expressed interest in trading for Redick.

The Bucks, for their part, had worked to get Atlanta's Josh Smith until the trade deadline but settled for an outside threat in Redick.

Meanwhile, the Magic also traded forward Josh McRoberts to the Charlotte Bobcats for forward Hakim Warrick.

In Warrick, the Magic will get a player averaging 6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds. In 41 games, McRoberts has averaged 3.9 points and 3.7 rebounds.
